Question by Confused Hal: Is there something very wrong with this round of spending cut annoucements?
Yesterday the government decided against closing it’s wine cellar which has £2,000,000 worth of wine and spirits and has spent an additional £45,000 this year buying more wine at £100 a bottle.

On the same day it announces that despite rising unemployment 22 job centres will close with the loss of around 2,400 jobs.

Is it just me or are the priorities a little mixed up? I am not suggesting that we offer State leaders 3 for a tenner specials from the local supermarket – but you can get some good wines for around £8-£10 I am sure Obama would rather drink a nice Californian wine rather than a French one costing up to £10,000.
